The Bigest Female I Own

fgs Nov 17, 2007 02:32 AM

I weighed this beautiful 5 1/2 foot long female normal last night. She topped the scales at 5,100 grams.

Last year she layed 15 eggs, only 8 were vialble. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will go again in 08.

I wish you all a great season.

I remember her pic from last year. Is she friendly?

I hope I have one that big, some day.

She is dog tame.

Wow, that's big! I hope some of my girls get that big. Good luck this season! What are you going to breed her to?

fgs Nov 17, 2007 05:59 PM

I'm going to breed her to my male pied.

She is huge, I love it. How many times can you breed her before it is not advisable to do so any longer?

fgs Nov 17, 2007 05:52 PM

I honestly don't know how many more years I will be able to use her as a breeder. I'll keep breeding her as long as she seems healthy.

The Ball Python Manual by de Vosjoli, Klingenberg, and the Barkers states that; "A female Ball Pyhton housed at the St. Louis Zoo for 32 years laid a clutch of fertile eggs when she was estimated to be 35 years of age"...

I would guess that you have many more years to breed her if this is any indicator?

Brian, I remember her from last year only she was about 53lbs back then - no? ROFL..

Best of luck Brian!
