keiron Nov 17, 2007 11:44 AM

Hi guys just wondering if any of you breeders of Drymarchon ever send animals oversea's? I ask as i live in England and i already have some Easterns and a Blacktail but i would love to expand my collection with some Yellowtails and Texans but i have never even seen them advertised over here has anyone got any idea's how i can get my hands on some more of these great snakes? Many thanks, Keiron

That the most stunning easterns are across the pond? That is the reddest I've seen yet. Beautiful! Is that one yours?

As for shipping other drys overseas, I'm sure there are folks here who could hook you up.

Post more pics of your snakes if you have them, and good luck.

Heh thanks Mike yes that is one of my males i have 2.4 and the other male is just like him though the females are not as bright, more of a rust colour. Will take some more pics later today.

I don't think we have all the good ones though i have seen some real stunners on here, and of course we have the problem of limited gene pools with them being quite rare in collections so we don't have it that good. I don't think Indigo's will ever be very common over here but that is something i personally want to change so i hope i can track down some of the other species eventually!

They use a product called Nekton it is a mixture of carotenoids to inhanse color, they have been doing so for about 15 years.

Most breeders in the United States are clueless when it comes to nutrition as Carotenoids inhanse color and fertility. There is only one breeder in the United States that understands this and he likewize has the reddest Easterns on the market he also has the highest fertility!

I believe Carotenoids was discussed on the coacwhip forum and that is what makes the west texas locals red.Aperantly those grasshoppers and other food items have losts of Carotenoids.

I just ordered some Nekton. Any information on suggested dosage?

Thanks for the insight, it makes a lot of sense.
