I was just reading a tortoise news group posting and someone mentioned that they use Perlite for the incubation medium. I have used Vermiculite in the past. Has anyone ever used Perlite for Box Turtles eggs?

I haven't tried it with turtle eggs, but it works great for snake and lizard eggs. It is more coarse than most vermiculite and provides better egg aeration - many zoos use it.
