Blood Breeding Question

insanedrifter Nov 17, 2007 01:20 PM

I have kept Bloods for years now and I have finally held onto a pair that is fully sexual active. My problem is that I have tried breeding this pair before, using 2 different males to no avail. Not even any interest in each other! I have recently put the pair together this year and the same thing has happened. Neither one of the snakes seem to notice eachother. I have checked on them at all hours of the night. They have been cycled for breeding just as I have read from the barkers about their bloods. Does any one have any tips or information that might spark my bloods love life? Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks
Justin

I cycled them by: Reducinng food intake gradually until they were empty, Then I started lowering ambient temps. aswell as reducing the length of their photo period to about 9 hours of daylight. I then placed male #1 with the female for about 2 weeks....nothing happend at all...they stayed on opposite sides of the enclosure....I then removed male #1 and tried male#2...basically the same thing happened except this time they actually spent time on the same side of the enclosure...ambient temps reached between 76 and 78 at night and 79 to 80 during the day. If I have done something "wrong" please let me know....I am very anxious to produce some little reds!!! Thanks everyone.
