About 5 or 6 years ago the concensus among people I know was that cerataphora had not bred in captivity. That may well have been incorrect, but I believed it. Have they been produced in captivity, or only infrequently, or did I just know the "wrong" people?
I do like seeing your pics, Atheris can be such beauties, thanks for putting the photos up!
Andy
Your information is accurate and they do not breed often in captivity perhaps due to seasonal differences etc. I've had several together for around 5 years or more and have only once viewed my males dancing and pushing the females but did not view them locking. It happened about 3 years ago and it was a case of putting in a LTC male who with several LTC females.
As was the case with these momma's, I acquired several (2.5) from an african shipment several months ago, and just within minutes after being poured into a cage (all together) from the import bag, the 2 males started breeding the females. They locked several females and it lasted for around 2-3 weeks and stopped and has not been viewed again.
The females continue to eagerly tease feed even when stuffed with babies as seen with this somewhat solid green one today. Both mothers are provided a small pink every 5 days since to keep the babies well fed off their mothers.

What happened with those gravid ones you picked up at strictlys a little while ago?
Dan you might want to cut back on how often you are feeding them
