Give me some info...

After having kept snakes for years I have just recently gotten a bearded dragon. Since I keep a hognose snake, I'm now interested in aquiring a North American lizard. I'm interested in owners opinions about what makes this a desirable lizard other than its attractive coloration. What are the problems or idiosyncracies of keeping this animal, and who breeds them.

I keep many, many, collareds as pets as well as breed, and I can not find one negative thing about keeping them as pets.

I find them EXTREMELY desireable , not just for their gorgeous colors/patterens, but they (with handling) become so very friendly/tame and seem to enjoy jumping into your hand when they see you. They are much more active then a beardie, and if healthy, will provide you with much enjoyment when watching their acrobatic antics.

Glad your here, forum is a bit slow right now, but many awesome people here to share with. Post some pics of your hognose and beardie when ya have some time, just put O/T in your subject line, (off topic) we enjoy pics from our fellow reptile buddies.

Enjoy the forum

I keep primarily uros, which I like for their personalities. Collareds seemed like a good choice for me for a different species, so I got one. They are great!! Very charming personalities - curious and active and sort of goofy. There are several species and colors to choose from. I highly recommend them.
