Please post them I am curious if what I am looking at are mites. They are little black walking dots? Thats the bastards that I am looking at?
They are Little black dots that move. They embed themselves between the scales to draw blood from your animals. If your animals are soaking alot take them out of the bowl and you will find Tiny black dots in the water these are the drowned mites. They seem to both Float and Sink so you may find them on top of the water or on the bottom... Maybe the floaters are Swimming for their life...LOL.

the spot they are most of the time are right under their jaw. the skin there is loose and there is more rooms in between scales. just hold its head firmly and move the skin around and you will see the little black dots in between the scales.
