Brumation of honduran?

jonasgn Nov 19, 2007 09:12 AM

Hello i`m new to milksnakes, and was wondering if you need to brumate hondurans.
And if you do at what temperature is good.

Thanks a lot

There are several people I know who do not brumate them and are successful in breeding them. The snakes receive a natural light cycle and experience a drop in ambient temperature in to the 60s, but have a heat source and feed throughout the winter.

Most people cool their Hondurans as they would king or corn snakes. Generally the teperature is between 50-60 degrees. Most people I know keep snakes in their basement and the brumation temperature fluctuates with the outside temperature.
