R.auriculatus incubation temps

Rhacphantastic Aug 24, 2003 10:57 AM

Hi all-
it seems there is a high ratio of females to male gargoyle geckos in the U.S. (?) This seems to be the opposite phenomena of the crested gecko...
Do you think this could be due to higher incubation temps?

In my collection, the male to female ratio of hatchling R. auriculatus is about 2:1. The eggs incubate on a low shelf in my Rhacodactylus room, and the temp. fluctuates between 75-82 degrees F. I know that several breeders are always female heavy (Tim Tytle, Allen Repashy).
