ovulation pictures??? I posted a couple days ago what I really thought were pictures of my female ovulating. To me she looks like she ate a football. Not a big one, but one that about doubled her size.
Does anyone have any pictures of boa ovulation???

Here are a couple pics from our site of females ovulating!

The lump on this one is right in front and you can see in front and behind it how much larger it is than the normal body.

Here is one photographed after the peak of ovulation. It starting to spread out in this photo and he is still going for it!

Here is a small ovulation on a Blood boa that turned out to be a fairly large litter!

I hope this helps a bit. Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks
John

Thanks Steph! Of course I did not forget! In fact, I remember that her ID is either 06_2sh2.7f or 06_2sh2.9f. I remember because I sold both of those girls the same week and I think u got 9 right?

Im glad she is working out and you love her!

Regards,
John

Not sure which ID without looking, but she continues to impress me. Never agressive or hissy, always curious... and always hungry! LOL!
Thanks so much for working with me on getting her!

Wow! Those pictures are great! They really give good perspective on what ovulation looks like.

After looking at your pictures, I am very convinced that I had a small ovulation similar to the one in your blood boa. I don't think the picture I took captured it very well.

It started out as a centralized "mini football" and after maybe 30 hours kind of spread out over her body. She's gotten several shades darker in just a coulple of days, and she's very lathargic(sp?). She alternates between curling up on the cool end of her cage, and stretching out the length of it while leaning just a bit to one side or the other. Also, the skin arount her neck is pretty loose, and I think she may be going into shed.

What do you think? Does this sound like the signs I should be looking for? Any other thoughts?

Thanks for your input!
