The great escape

diggy415 Nov 19, 2007 07:16 PM

Well here i have Flicka and her boyfriend, he has been pacing the cage and tonight when i came home from work, i did my rounds, i look inside and OMG!! she ate him, it finally happened, as i start to shake i go to open the cage and notice a handle that was turned, he's escaped. I get a flashlight, look under beds, in closets,(6' snake ya know) can't be hard to miss, i return to the room, figuring he would stick by the food or get to it although he was just fed this last sunday. Soooo where was he, well you know that saying, "If it was a snake it would of bite ya!"

lmao- similar experience-
The last thing we had get out was an 8 foot burm. The cage was in our bed room and about 3 am. I wasn't sleeping well- I was about 8 months pregnant. and I rolled over and felt something damn cold on my arm and jumped and it hissed.... now, there were 9 snakes in that area of the house so i dont know who it is- nice or MEAN. We had an african rock the same size- so i'm flipping out and my husband wakes up and i click the light on and she's about 6 inches from my husbands face- up and over the pillows on my side and in his face!!! but it was just the burm- she was like "hey guys hows it going"

scared us to death not knowing what was in our bed!!

the RTB we had escape about 2 years ago- we get home from the hospital after my son was born and the snake is loose. my mom stays and watches the baby while we look for 2 HOURS!! i needed a drink and a break so i went to the fridge to get some milk, opened the door and there was a head under the fridge- just out enough to see when the door was open- but not shut.

also quite a scare-

luckly- those are the only things we've had get out of thier cages!!
