Sand Impaction?

highendreptiles Nov 20, 2007 01:52 PM

Have any of you bought sand from blueiguanaproducts.com? It looks like they think their sand wont cause impaction.

all sand has a risk of causing impaction...some just has less of a chance than others. Calcium based sands were marketed as completely digestible and safe but cause more impactions than regular children's play sand..so I don't put much faith on what businesses claim their products to be.

Other issues in husbandry can affect how well dragons pass injested sand...dehydration, improper heat/uvb etc
