I leave mine together until the female's obviously gravid. My female jungle has been showing some mid-body swelling, but has been spending most of her time on the perch tangled up w/ the male I paired her with this year. It's been hard to tell if it's her positioning, or if she's gravid, so they'll be together until I'm sure

does it seem to early for breeding? before I put them together I had read a few articules and it ha seemed most breeders would wait another month or so. Well I guess these two had there own time line. lol as always thanks capt. by the way the macks I have are getting bigger and less fierce, well sometimes.lol

I started a little early this year...Womas were cruising and my male was hooked up within minutes of introduction. When that happened, I started cooling the room down. Normally, I'd introduce the carpets during the warm-up, but after talking to a few people, I decided to experiment this year. My jungles apparently opted for the early start, while my Jag female and HCQ want nothing to do w/ each other. We'll see what happens.
Good news on the Macklot's and good luck
