Feeder Roaches Escaping!!!!

khandof Nov 20, 2007 09:41 PM

I have a colony of about 1500 to 2000 Dubia's that I pick from to feed my dragon. Well lately I have been finding them around the house. I have them in a 30 gallon rubbermaid with a hole cut in the top covered with screen. Well, my wife saw one and now I have to get rid of them. That sucks because I like dubia's a lot more than I like crickets. I thought they couldn't fly or climb? How are these thing escaping!?!?! Does any one know how they escape?

Thanks,

could have crawled out of the cage of the lizard you are feeding them too, got on your arm or hand and fell on the floor without notice...too many ways to know for sure.

I'd just ask your wife that since they've already escaped and infested the house what's the harm of keeping the colony? What you really need is a bunch of free roaming dragons to take care of the problem.
