Can anyone recommend a good proportional thermostat.

I love my Herpstat ND. I got it at the Bean Farm. It has a night drop with it. But you can get one without it. I used to use regualr thermostats, but the proportional ones are great.

Do you think a night drop is good?

I ask because we have a fish room in the house where the ac vents are closed late Nov to early Feb thus the temp fluctuates slowly from mid/high 80s to low 70s at night

I have cichlid (fish tanks) and was thinking of getting a corn but wasnt sure if temps all over the place would be bad idea.
The room gets partial sun which the fish seem to love as they have never bred as much untill I put them in that room not sure if ok for a corn.

Thank you

Rita

As long as you have a warm side on the tank that stays close to 80-85 it will be fine. actually alot of people drop the cool side at night on purpose anyway although i am kind of new at all of this and dont know exactly why.

Thank you very much . I dont have a warm side at night but it makes sense what you say and I can certainly add an UTH under the tank for the corn that sounds good will go with that.

Thank you

Rita
