OK, Since I got My first Ig about 15 months ago, I've been offered herps NON STOP! Everything From Igs to Monitors, To Burms and Ball Pythons, to HUGE Redtails (and some smaller ones) to things I've never even heard of!!! I MUST have been offered WELL over a thousand Igs in this past year! Just THIS MONTH! I've been offered 18!!!!! One Moron Punk Jack Monkey Idiot had Three (Count them, THREE) Baby Igs. Why you may ask? "Cause I wanted to be cool and have three huge lizards hanging out on My shoulders." HIS WORDS! But Since He couldn't handle them or tame them (Didn't actually WORK at it or anything!!!!), He tried to push them off on ME! I refused them cause I already have TWO Males and don't have room for 3 Babies!!! What did he end up doing? HE FED THEM TO HIS FREAKING PITBULL!!!!!! AND THE MORON EVEN TOOK PICS OF THE EVENT TO SHOW ME!! What the heck am I suppose to do?????? I can't possibly take in all these animals I'm being offered!!!! I've TRIED to direct these people to Reptile Rescues and even the Humane Society!! They can't be bothered!! I have one guy now trying to push His 2 year old Ball Python off on Me!! What the heck can I do???? It's Not only depressing me that I can't help those poor animals, but Also Disgusting Me cause of these moronic People!!! HELP! Tell Me what to do!!???!!! PLEASE!!

do you have local (or, even not so local people may help..) herp societys or rescue groups? what state are you in?

Is there any way you can get those pictures from him? If so, I would think you would have a good chance of getting him in BIG trouble. Also, check your local pit bull laws... may be able to get that taken away, and his other herps. I'm so sorry, Heather.

Erin is right. But w/o proof it would be just about impossible to prove. But tell ya what. I'd become this guys worst nightmare. I'd find a way. Just try to not let him know it is you. Who knows what he may try to do to you or your critters. But something needs to be done!

I have had no contact with this person since then. What should I do to Stop these offers??? How should I handle this!!??!! I'm going out of My MIND with all these people trying to dump their unwanted animals on Me! HELP!

I think most of us have the same problem!!I dont have too many people trying to give me their reptiles but each time i go to a petshop i want to rescue 50% of the reptiles i see there. I think all soft-heart people are like that! We must learn to say NO, thats all!lol!

About that guy who gave his iguanas to the pitbull i completely agree he should be sued!

In upstate NY there is an Upstate Herpetological Association (that's the name of it). Look it up on google, they have a website! The email is uhaherper@aol.com

Report the guy for cruelty to animals. In some states this could be a felony. Too bad you didn't pilfer one of the photos...that would make a good case.

if you live in ny they have a great spca there give them a call more then likely you dont need pics it would help but he confest to you thats all they need more then likely you would have to go to court but he will get time it is a felony 4 I think and he will never be aloud to own a animail in ny again if he dose back to jail he gose This kind of stuff has got to stop it takes everyone to get involved and do there part
