A glimpse of the future

exposito Nov 21, 2007 03:14 PM

Lets see some pics of your Honduran projects. Ther are a number of breeders working on new morphs, so give us a peak at what some of you are working on. I have included a few pics of some of our future projects.

Thanks!

Very nice Joe. It is nice to see people still appreciating the beauty of these snakes and treating them like they have a future instead of writing them off as a has been in the hobby. I am still blown away by some of the now common morphs, it's a shame they've come down so much in price but hopefully this means many more people will want to own them. Great batch you have there, good luck with them

Hi Tom,

Thanks for getting it. We feel like the the future is still pretty bright. There are many more morphs than what you see for sale and some of them will hit the market soon.

Thanks!

Ya Know Joe, I kind of feel this way about snakes in general. In the way of morphs, tell me about any type of snake that can not be taken to the next level. It doesn't even have to be a new morph.......it can be a refined best version of an old one and that should still excite people. The bottom line is we're spoiled. We have an awesome hobby that generates cash and instead of value being applied to looks, it's more often applied to rarity. I look forward to seeing what's to come in Hondurans and especially in Brooksi. I for one am as excited about snakes today as I was ten years ago. I think after many of us cool our snakes for the winter and the classifieds become limited as far as choices people will show more interest in spring. It's this time of the year that you could show someone the nicest Hypo and they yawn........regardless.........love the pics and good luck to everyone Tom Stevens

WOW Joe!!! The animals in your "The last2" post are perfect 10's in my book!!

I don't have any Hondo's in my collection, but I would make some room for animals that looked like that!!!

Good Work!

Hi Joe,

correct me if I'm mistaken, but are those not from Jaap from across the pond??? They ARE nice looking indeed.

Joe, first of all, those are awesome snakes. Can't wait to see that extreme ghost as it gets a little size to it. You've got a lot of awesome projects going on.

I only have a few hondo projects I'm working on, but one of my favorites is refining the albino tangerine to continue to make it even better than it already is. Even though they've been around a long while and are not cutting edge by any means, these are still my favorite hondo morphos.

I've got some amazing albinos that have very low band counts and are extremely impressive in person. I hope through selective breeding to continue to reduce the band counts on future generations.

There are many albino tangerines out there, but bi-colors with 13 or less band count are very hard to come by and are most impressive in my opinion.

Here is my female. I've got an unrelated male that is very similar.
