calico??

gardenmum Nov 21, 2007 05:36 PM

I have this male which is a CH import. I got him as a little guy last year, he had a neat off white lower part on his body and I thought he was pretty interesting. His scales are white and very prominant on his lower half now with lots of brown speckling through it. The white lower half goes all the way down his length and looks like someone drew a line half way up his side and splashed white all along the lower half..lol.

He looks like the calicos I see on-line. I know that there is no way to know anything about him until he is bred to see what he gives, but I love his color and looks.

It will be interesting to see what he gives me. (I hope I do these pictures right!!)

Looks just like my normals...Calico's are very striking. Here is a picture of one from Sterlings....

Looks like a normal ball to me... Like mentioned, calicos are pretty distinct. They have the pure white spots all along the sides, not just a somewhat pale bottom half.

Nice snake, though.

Looks like a nice normal. I have one that has white coming up the sides but still just a normal. Calicos have a very distinct look to them.

Not sure how you even remotely see a resemblance to a calico? Calico sides have speckling of pure blazing white usually along with orange (as babies) and flames, not light-colored normal sides.

These are calicos -- you just have a light colored animal.
