hello i posted a few times before here .
melvina my female 3 year old is alaways on my mind.

of gotten her about 2-3 month's ago
she was really mean and not tamed at all
but now shes doing better and i think shes starting to trust me.
i open her cage and she comes running out to want to be held or out of her tank now and she lets me pet her to a degree which i could not before at all
i belive i think she burned her nose
the top of her cage is a heavy duty metal ? i think so
and the uvb and basking lamp are on top of it.
but besides that i been putting neo sporim on it and it seams to be looking better.

im worried about her not eatting right
some days she eats great others not ?
any ideas
i feel shes skinny or maybe its just me .

heres 2 pictures one when i got her and took it and the second one was today well tonight
tell me what you think ?? thanks im trying my best i wanna give her everything i can to have a better life

There are some days that my iguana won't eat as much, too. I don't think there isn't anything to worry about. Iguanas are like that and I've heard from a lot people about the same thing. How much is eating on the day that she's not eating well? She looks great in the picture...not thin at all. If you are worry, you can take her to the vet just to be on the safe side, but I don't think there is anything wrong with her.

thank's for the input .. even though she is not the most nice iguana in the world im glad i adopted her
shes great to be around and keeps me company while im upstairs
her old onwers would feed her tomatos and stuff which of corse they told me she loved them..
i never told them it was bad though becuase the next day she was at my house
im glad i have her now shes been threw alot for 3 year's
almost a death experince from mbd they told me she was being fed baby food becuase she was so weak
shes missing at lease 10-12 inches off of her tail from the mbd as well
but im telling you shes got alot of additude for the 3 year old she is
i feel her shes got alot of trust issues from her previous owners.. im glad shes getting use to me now and im hoping the more the better with trust wize ..

im going to take her to the vet real soon ( are car decided to die ) ...
and the vet is 30 mins away but thanks for your input again.. on her i love her to death ...

hi mootish. it sure sounds like she is in breeding season with the things you where saying there where some signs you where asking about a while back to my kiwi is doing the same things. sleeping in different places, when ever i go in her room she is clawing at her cage to get out to see if she can find a spot to lay her eggs. and the poop thing is normal she my of had some stuck or crawled though it my kiwi does it she been pooping all over her cage and gets poop on her thats why she been getting alot of long soaks in the tub to get it off. so when you take her to the vet have them take a xray to be sure there is no eggs but she still can be in or starting her breeding season i have been waiting for my kiwi to lay hers. she started her beeding season in mid sept. but all igs are a little different but what you are saying my kiwi is doing she did the same thing the yr before. and layed 32 eggs so i hope this helps just to be sure have xray done because you or vet may not feel them iggil1

oh and i forgot the eating kiwi ate like a horse before mid sept but slowed down just a few bites now and then. oct stoped for a few weeks thats when i took her to vets to get liquid cal and she gave me critical care she likes it too.she started to eat again just small amounts then stoped again right now she has not eaten any greens in 3 weeks just eating the critical care and liquid cal.it is very important that she gets this because of her having mbd when i got her having eggs takes all her cal and she would be sick all over again so just be careful with her iggirl1

thanks for your experince advice.. even though im not in the ball park for xrays at the moment.. just had a gecko have surgery for being egg bound.. ( that was not my fualt i bought her prego and she was underwait and yeah just gave her calcuim but her 7th clutch before she was bound ..

it all happends at once heh
i just adopted her ... so the old owners gave me a bid cage but its not big enough which i know is bad.. the room i want to put my iguana in has like a leak in the roof so that needs to get fixed.. basiclly the whole room beeds to be ajusted for iguana safty before i can even think of letting her out of the cage i feel bad for her but i have no choice sence theres a dog downstair's
i dont have a bathtub .. i wanna get like a big dog tub for her though to soak her shes not the most nicest iguana either
she just looks skinny to me for her to have eggs in her ???

well we need a car first.. so i can get her to the vet.. she did eat this morning.. mustard collard and green beans mixed together cut up ...

ill have to wait till i get her to the vet to see what my herp vet friend says
its sad i was going to go to a snake show for my birthday this week butt now the iguana is more important ..
