would like to know what the best habbit is for my setup i have two mali uro's and need help, i have a 55 gallon and a light for them and bird seed for ground ok thanks

Hi, glad you have joined us. But before we can answer your post I think we need some more specific info you say you have a light, what kind of light, are you using both basking and UVB? Or A mercury vapor? What are your temperatures?

How old/big are your maili kids? It would help to know their size so we can know if the 55 gallon is big enough for both. If they are adult and larger it may not be. What sexes are they? This is important , if you have 2 males they could evenually fight and harm one another. If a pair you will have to watch for mating down the line and prepare for that.

As far as substrate everyone seems to have their own thoughts. I like washed playsand. I do not like the bird seeds as they go to the bathroom on it and then may eat it later(the soiled seed) another thing it gets moldy when wet.

well im not sure what the sex is there about 10inches long and i have 150watt basking uvb light and a heating pad that goes on the side been feeding them bok choy and other lettace no kale i have been using the shopping list i found on here to see what they can eat. if there is a way you can tell me out to tell the sex that would be helpful anything else just ask
