Promised Pics and Update!!!!!!!!!

Arkon Nov 23, 2007 11:22 PM

Hello everyone, I started the thread on the stuck eyecap on my Female Northern Pine. I was getting ready for the damp pillow case trick that was suggested but when I went to get started I noticed the cap had fallen off by itself!!!!!!!!!!

In that thread I said I would get some pics of my guys and gals, so here they are, 3 pics of each!!!!!!!!!

This is the Albino Northern Pine Male, he is in shed in the first and third pic, so his colors are really dull & the second he is scarfing down some fuzzies, he is not in shed in that one!!! I will post the others in the threads under this one!!!!

Thanks & Enjoy, Jason

Here is my Normal Female Northern Pine, she has a very tight pattern, very black blotches and a very light grey, almost white hue, I think she is also gonna be a screamer!!!! These are all unrelated Northerns and I hope to have some awesome babies down the road!!!! These pines are getting addictive, I think I am gonna try for a pair of albino Southern Pines next & possibly a pair of Black Pines!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nice collection!

Glad to hear the eye cap fell off by itself- every time one it's happened with one of my snakes, I've done nothing but keep an eye on it, and same result.

Pits addicting? That's the understatement of the holiday season so far!

Its funny, my wife asked me the other day what I want for christmas and I just smiled and laughed and she said you probably want another pine snake RIGHT, which made me laugh even harder because it is TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She knows Im nuts, instead off buying myself a pair of new pants, shirt, coat or shoes, I am trying to buy some sort of new reptile!!!!!!!!! LOL

Thanks, Jason

Not a Pine Snake but one of my other houshold residents pictured below!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful lizard!!

Your wife has the right idea!!! Wives like that are rare, and mine is the same!!

Honestly, yourself, and all readers of this forum, ask yourself this question. What could POSSIBLY be better than snakes for Christmas?

( dead silence and crickets chirping.... )

What else do we really want? The best presents are snakes, of course!! I have received snakes for 5 Christmas holidays....and man...to heck with getting some new shirt, tie, coffee mug, etc..

One other thing as well, and this is for those that have collections growing that may be alarming to some spouses. Getting a new snake for Christmas justifies getting the snake to begin with!!!!

I wasn't planning on getting one for this Christmas, but now Jason, you got me thinking!!!!

Take care!
Billy

Here is my last Christmas present, a Davis Mtn. Bullsnake from Vivid.

When I read your post, It made me laugh even harder, to think there is someone like you out there just like me!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just plain hilarious, we must have found the coolest wives!!!

My wife said anything you want, just no water turtles, only because she is crazy like me and does her research on my addictions and just does not like the dirty turtle water around no matter how many times I clean It!!!! LOL

I hope Northern Bloodlines stay strong, although I am worried about the Northern Hybrids I am seeing latley, escpecially a recent southernXnorthern albino breeding I saw offered that resembles albino northerns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Daughter gets so excited when I take the Pines or the Water Monitor out but of course she has to keep a distance, here is a pic of her PO'd because she cant hold the Albino Male Northern Pine Snake!!!!!!!!! She Already LOVES the Hamburg PA reptile show and the HAVRE DE GRACE, MD show, she is following in my foot steps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jason

Jason,

Cool wives are the best things in life. I am too blessed to have mine and I suspect you are too!!

I grew up keeping many species of water turtles, and unless you have a good filtering system, the water can get dirty and freaking stinky quick!!! They are awesome animals though, but if I had my choice between those and snakes, but of course, what would I buy??

I believe northern bloodlines will stay strong, as they are gaining popularity with purists, and even though I have seen those same hybrid ads, most pit enthusiasts who breed northerns scoff at the very idea of crossing one with another type of snake.

That pic of your daughter is so funny!! I can't stop laughing!! I can just hear the crying!!! LOL!! Thanks for sharing!!!

Keep us posted with your northern pics please!!!!

My girlfriend is not that cool. She likes snakes but not a room full. I have found that it’s easier to ask for forgiveness, than it is to ask for permission. LOL!

I tried that with my Wife once, I was in the doghouse for quite a while ... sigh.
Needless to say, I now consult her first. She is pretty reasonable that way lol.
