temperature and rats

so i plan on keepin/ breeding a few rats in my upstairs hall way but durring winter it gets down to 65 at its coldest in the hall way should i put some heat tape along the bottom or back of the cages or will 65 night and 75 day temps be ok i know they will only feeder rats but i still dont want them catching colds etc. any input on what temps every uses would be nice i assume most ppl breed in basement wich most get cold thanks alot

65 should be fine as long as they have cardboard boxes or something else to nest in and keep themselves and pups cozy

thanks they have a lil area to cuddle and stay warm and a wooden hide thign that im sure holds in plenty heat from them and they also chew on talk about a double bonus lol thanks again

I keep mine in the garage year round in LY and have no problems. It gets well below 65 in the winter. Don't worry, they will be just fine, and should breed more when it's cool like that.
