I have just one ball--a two-year old that I've never had sexed. Occasionally, he/she seems to extend those anal spurs out when resting. Has anyone else ever seen this? They're not straight out, but definitely not laying flat like usual.

Any ideas why he/she might do this? There's no other snake in the enclosure, and all other aspects of its life (feeding shedding, temps) are unchanged.
