to you i had to change my pants twics clean the key board three times and put my jaw in a sling to hold it in place. looks like today was the magical day i shuffled cages well snakes and re aranged thigns so a whole stack has no heat when others do etc not as nice as your line up but i put my cinnyXnormal balls together 100% het for piebald balls together and once the girl rainbow sheds they are going together. small year for me but i am also having a shot at bearded dragons this year pastel hypo X high orange/red best of luck in your breedings now lets hope i sell lots of stuff in the mournign at sewer fest so i can put a down payment on a pair of those poss het for calico babies lol since those cool new pearls arent ready yet

rainbowsrus Nov 25, 2007 02:55 AM

LOL, glad I could help you getting everything cleaned up!

The worst part of this time of year is finding them after you move them all around. Many have been in the same cage location for the last year. Now most got moved around so where did so and so go....hmmmm.....Oh Yeah, over here!! LOL

So glad I have moveable name tags on each door!!!

You better hurry on the calico offspring, I just got a second pair reserved today. Only going to be VERY limited availability on those babies. And they are not Poss het, since the calico trait is not proven the babies are "offspring from the calico male" Once the calico trait is proven, then and only then can they be referred to as hets.

i ment it more so as poss het as in the calico being possibly genetic so their is a possability that they are hets not in the term of like 66% poss hets type thing well that is if it doesnt prove as a co-dom/dom type thing that shows with age. and i hear you on the cage and whos who and who is where my girl made lil name tags lol color coded at that lol

rainbowsrus Nov 25, 2007 09:29 PM

LOL, not you, more me about the whole what to call the offspring from the calico breeding. I want to be absolutely clear what they are and what they should be called until we know more about them and the genetic status of the trait.

Looks like great things are brewing at the Colling home. I'm still on your general '08 wait list correct? I know I'm on all those funky lists, lol, but not sure if you've got me on the general one. Looks like I might be getting a very very full box from you next year!

AWESOME BRBs!!!

PS.... what if those yellow ones like my Flax and Amethyst are another form of Anery? I know Corns have 2 or 3 different Anery genes..... hmmm..... I guess I'll find out in 2009.

Thanks Aubrey, it does look like I'll have a lot on my plate next year. Yes you are on the list so no worries, except of course - how to pay all your bills!!

Well, I sure hope the yellows are genetic, I'll be having some offspring next year if all goes well.

Looks like a great plan. I like the high red trio and the bold crescent trio, although they're all intersting. But one question - what if Barney finds out that Fred is getting it on with Betty as well as Wilma???

Thanks,
Ed

What color is Fluffy Dave cuz he looks like he has a little olive to him or something. I have to tell that I really like those normal pairings you got especially the repeat of the

Flinstones
Phoenix x Ann

really looking forward to seeing what Diablo throws cuz there might be a looker there for me too

and maybe something from M5 x Petunia baby like a Phoenix or something so I hope you get 5 males and can't keep 'em all lol thanks for sharing Dave and loved the pics
Bob

rainbowsrus Nov 25, 2007 11:42 PM

Fluffy is the typical orange/brown Rainbow, not high color by any means, except maybe high white

Thanks, I labored over them for quite a while picking and choosing what I thought might go well together. Always limiting myself to trio's at most. Swapping and trading until all were accounted for. My room was a mess, each male and female was in individual sweaterbox tubs (like their hides without any exit holes) so I could pop tops and look at and compare individuals.

Well I hope they all take for you so there can be plenty to go around for everyone and I can't wait for your first bci litter sooooooooo how excited are you to maybe having some motleys and other morphs/designer morphs possibly next year and did you witness any action last year like you are this one??? I know I know always ?'s so I'm sorry
Bob

rainbowsrus Nov 26, 2007 04:23 PM

I would be shocked if they all take, in total there are 20 females listed of which 9 are known to have been bred and 11 never been bred before. One or two of the 9 proven breeder girls may not have gained enough weight back by breeding time, will have to wait and see and another one or two of the virgins are in the same category. So could be several less by the time actual breeding comes. I suspect and hope I end up somewhere in the 10 - 15 litter range with some being smaller first time litters.

Yeah, I'm pretty excited about all the activity. Did have some last year but not as much and not as early. I think I may have waited too long to introduce last year so I introduced sooner this year. Like last year I have some younger/smaller ones showing half hearted activity but my older ones are frisky!!!!
