I'm pretty sure that anyone with firsthand experience with breeding ball pythons for 20 years don't visit these forums..

...since I bred my first balls in the late 80s .

Ball pythons have been documented as successfully breeding well into their 30s! So most present-day breeders have a long time before they have to worry about retiring females!

Well, I have a female that I first bred when she was 14...she's 15 (16 in january!) this year and laid a 1200 g clutch...

As long as the snake looks healthy, acts healthy, and eats healthy, why not?

I have some that I have no idea how old they are.......look the same as when I got them ........they were big then.....mid-90's?......
