1. Where do you get your permit to sell snakes that are native to Texas, and what is the permit number?

2. Where do you get your permit to sell/keep the four big snakes that are not native to Texas, and what is the permit number?

3. Anything needed to sell Gilas and Beadeds?

4. Are there any permits being left out here?

Yes, rumor has it that Hilderbran is attempting to sneak a bill thru the next legislative session that would make it illegal to look directly in the direction of any reptile without a "Reptile Viewing Permit". Apparently, it's a public safety issue, as some reptiles have been known to hypnotize their prey...In all likelihood this will be defeated, but that won't stop Hilderbran and his kronies....they'll play musical chairs with their seats until they backdoor this thing in...

From what I understand is the cost of the "Reptile Viewing Permit" is going to be 50.00-75.00...payable by cash, and directly into his pocket.

Don't forget that Christmas is coming. Be sure to tip your local game warden and he will probably leave you alone. At least that is how it worked when I lived in Mexico (oh I'm sorry I mean Tejas-although I did live just west of Rio Nuecess). Santa Anna doesn't pay his troops well so the Christmas tips are well appreciated. If y'all had been paying your Christmas money all along these laws probably never happened. You really need to get out of Austin a bit more and see how Texas really works.

I certainly don't want to add to that perception, and if that is how it works, I would like to be one of many who band together to stop the good ol' boy payola once and for all. It may sound noble and all that horse$hit, but I already pay for a license and want politicians and law enforcement that stand behind their word and do what WE pay them for, and well enough in my opinion! Well, give the L.E. a raise and take it from the politicians!

#548 resident, #550 nonresident to possess more than 6 of a nongame species or sell only to dealers. I think its still $18 for res, 60 for nonres. Can get anywhere licenses are sold Walmart, Academy, kmart, etc.

dealers permit must be mailed in to TPWD with application $60 for res. 240 nonres. Can sell nongame to public or export out of state.

Local laws or federal laws may apply on heloderms.
