Cocking

NyNileCrocodile Nov 26, 2007 05:01 PM

I just bought a new cage for my baby nile monitor(4x2x15) and I want to recock the corners and I was wondering if regular cocking from lowes will work as long as I let it dry and air out really good before I put him in there or is there some special cocking I need? I think I remember reading awhile ago that there's some special type you're suppose to use. thanks in advance

Use 100% silicone caulking. It does not matter where you buy it. Latex caulking is no good, for many reasons. Cheers

yep, that would be the word I was looking for. thanks... what would you guys suggest i use to disinfect the inside of this cage? would a bleach/water solution work? it's a used cage i got for a good price, just trying to clean if up a bit.

Yeah, a mixture of 5% bleach & 95% water will disinfect it fine. I suggest going back over it with pure water after using the bleach solution to make sure you get rid of all the bleach.

Later!
