Taming your Tegu

Jcw Aug 24, 2003 04:40 PM

I have a black & white argentine tegu, hes about 2 months old and very nervous around me. Getting him out of the cage is almost impossible.

What are some good ways to tame him other then trying to hold him?

Hi, both of mine were that way when they were small. You can
feed him in a large tupperware container outside his cage. That
way, he will get fed when you take him out. After a couple
of weeks doing that he will practically climb on your hand to
come out and eat. I have never fed my tegus in their cage and
they never confuse my hand with food and love to come out.
Good luck!

This is amazing. You would think at this point you would see just how you are coming off to people.
You have to be about 17 years old Matt; and if not you are Forrest Gump on Steroids.
