Yes. But a pastel and a cinnamon pastel is not going to make a super cinnamon pastel. You could make a "pastel cinnamon" otherwise known as a pewter. But not a sterling.

You will need to breed a Pewter to a pastel or cinnamon in order to make a sterling

A Cinnamon is also know as a "Cinnamon Pastel", whereas as actaul Cinnamon X Pastel is a Pewter.

A Cinnamon Pastel bred to a normal will give you more Cinnamon Pastels and normals.

Amelia Nov 27, 2007 05:26 PM

Cinnamons are called cinnamon pastels, supposing people actually name them that way, however people like to shorten things up. They are not pastel jungles/pastels. A cinnamon is a cinnamon pastel, it is not the same genetically as your regular yellow shaded pastel jungles/pastels. They are two totally separate mutations. So a cinnamon pastel to a pastel will possibly land you a pastel cinnamon, or pewter. Then you will be a bit closer to getting a sterling, or other combos made with the cinnamons and pastels.

The terms "Cinnamon Pastel" and "Cinnamon" are equivalent. That is, what we regard as the typical "pastel" mutation is not part of a "cinnamon pastel". So, a cinnamon pastel bred to a normal will result in cinnamon pastels (or just cinnamons if you prefer) and normals - it is a co-dominant mutation...

josh
all you need to do to penetrate your seemingly dense cranium regarding this and many other ball-cross-quandaries , is to get mccurley's big ball book. it'll all seem simple after that.
good luck

Dude, I know exactly what you feel like. I'm 16 and it was so confusing at first. Don't worry, after a while it'll start to click. I'm glad I just got in on this hobby while I'm still young. Now I've got the rest of my life to develop my collection. Talk to you later.
