Preying Mantis

Are baby praying mantises okay to feed to leopard geckos? I hope, since I can order egg cases that will hatch out 100-500 babies for very cheaply. I doubt it, but does anyone know their nutrition content?

I don't know about geckos but they are use often for chameleons. Baby mantids are very small but won't stay small long. If you have 500 mantids you're going to need a lot of lizards or food for the mantids.

Ok cool, so no toxins or anything, that's great. I'll make sure to get a vial of fruit flies when they hatch, but I like Mantids so if a few happen to get too large for the leppies, I'll just keep them as pets.

Why not just feed them Crickets or any other food readily available at any pet store, I raised and bred Leopard Geckos for quite some time on Crickets, Meal Worms, Wax Worms and the occasional Pinkie mouse

I DO feed crickets, mealworms, wax worms, etc. etc. etc.. I like to give my pets variety.

As I said I fed Crickets, meal worms and wax worms and my Geckos were extreamly healthy. I used them as breeders and eventually sold them all. I would just stick with that and not worry about the Mantids.

I'm not saying that my geckos aren't healthy on crickets, mealworms, waxworms, etc. I simply want to include a larger variety of food in their diet.
Thank you for your imput, regardless.
