is your beardie a pet?

VaBeach6 Nov 27, 2007 08:20 PM

As i read the classidfied section I find it interesting that people are selling their breeders because they want to start other projects or have no room for them. I have no idea why and how they can do this. I mean isn't your dragon a pet that you become attatched to? how can you just drop them like they are nothing? What is wrong with people?

they just want money. i feel the same way. i have 9 beardies and i could never give up any of them. yes i do breed and make money off of the babies but i dont sell any of my dragons that i have had for over about 2 months

I think it's a bad sample since classifieds are for people selling by definition. I think once you start doing something for a living you don't have the same love for it you had when it was a pet or hobby. I have 14 beardies and could never part with any of them.

I think it's a bigger shame when people take them as pets and then decide they don't want them anymore. I'm committed to my ever growing troope for the rest of their lives.

I think i spend more money on them then i do on myself. i hate going to shows and seeing large older animals being sold becuase it seems that the person doesnt mind getting rid of something they have had for a long time.
