Temperament can be similar to Eastern hogs where they get hissy, and jump around at the slightest touch, but they don't bite! They are big, and very powerful, and can move with a jerking type motion literally throwing your hand away from them. Once my big male is out of the cage he cools right out, but my juvenile females tend to be flighty, and tend not to like being disturbed. I would assume this could be lessened with regular handling, which mine really don't get. One thing for sure is they can move with surprising speed for a heavy bodies ground dweller. Once you get used to all their bluffing, and realize you have nothing to fear all should be well.
They are very cool, and extremely different snakes, and I would totally recommend working with them if you have the chance. There are very few C/B babies available, and they can go for as much as $300 each. I personally have 1.3 w/C Malagasy giants that were fully treated 4x each with Panacur, and Flagyl, and were also treated with Amikacin antibiotic upon acquisition, and they have all done very well with no health issues at all. A little time and effort in the beginning, and you'll have some extraordinary captives that should be bullet proof for years to come.
