shedding

ok i thought i had everything under control, humidity at 50-60, misted 3-4 times a day to bring humidity up higher for periods of time, large water bowl, so i wasnt worried at all about my snake starting to cloud over. got home from work and 1/3 of the snake was shed with one eye cap still on and striped rubbing against anything that he could to get the skin off. i of course had to help, kind of surprised though because i grabbed onto a piece of skin and he would pull away at that spot so that the skin would pull away, fearing this would be bad i just soaked him and put him back in the cage with a rough piece of wood for him to work on. i did pull off the other eye cap, but there seems to be a piece stuck of the ring around the eye, hard to explain without pic.... what could i have done better to get it all come off in one piece?

You can either leave it on, and it should come off with the next shed. Or you can soak, and then use a piece of scotch tape. Put it over the eye cap. As you pull it off. The cap should come with it. Hope this helps.
