Here's a little gem from a few years back.

That's spectacular. I've seen enough lepidus in the Davis to respect what a rarity a beautiful animal like that is. Fantastic photo!

Thank you Damon.

Amazingly, I think I've seen fewer leps than alterna while in the Transpecos. This particular animal makes up for the lack of numbers though. It really was quite stunning. And of course, it came from above Fort Davis.

Thanks again,

Brad

It's funny... the first one I ever saw in the Davis was extremely pink/orange. It was the stuff of legend. Of course since that time I've seen nothing but brown animals. I didn't photo the first one as i thought I'd get pictures of another somewhere down the road. That was 14 years ago. LOL

That is one cool snake, the only ones I have seen where from the Juno/Langtry area, and nothing like that guy. Sweet pic.

Very nice. Never seen one that light from the Davis'. I've got a male from the Eagle Mts that is so orange that it looks like a big ole carrot. Wish I had a digital camera so I could post a picture of it. Thanks for sharing. BA
