Not often, you're more likely to see adult male morphs as they are replaced by the breeder by a better looking male.

when somebody is selling adult, ready to breed females. Why aren't they breeding them themselves? That is much more cost effective than selling them for any reasonable price.

There are times when somebody is getting married, divorced, going to college, or just having to thin some out. Those instances may offer a great opportunity! But there are lots of times somebody may have a poor or non-breeder they are trying to unload. They may or may not give you an accurate history of the animal. So ask questions and be careful. If the deal is too good to be true (a nice female, ready to breed, for a very reasonable price), then it may just not be true.

If I can't get what I want for a baby, I'll grow her up and try again later.....people always want to save time....if you can't sell your animals now....put them on the shelf for a year and put them up at 600 grams.....if they don't sell that year....throw them up at 1300 grams.....

Or just drop the price until someone buys it..

It cost about $100 a year to feed a snake.

A few years ago, I sold my normal females because I was going to be breeding hets and possible hets. Last year I sold some proven het and possible het albino females because I had hatched a few albinos and wanted to focus more on the pieds. This year I sold some of my founding proven het pied females because I've raised up a good number of possible het, het, and pied females of my own. Next year, I'll be selling many of my proven het pied females as I replace them with more pieds and combo's. There is a good chance I'll be selling proven breeder pied females in a few years as they are replaced with combo's. Yes, I could have kept them all and could be hatching hundreds of snakes by now, but I don't want this to turn into a chore. I want to keep having fun with this! The only way to continuously improve the makeup of your breeding colony and maitain a manageable size is to sell your proven breeders regularly.
