I have a 7 month old Leopard Gecko who managed to get tape stuck to the bottom of his belly last night. Its the clear masking tape stuff. I soaked him in a bowl of warm water but the tape won't budge! I am scared of hurting his skin if i peel it off. She shed about two weeks ago- should i wait till she sheds again? Please help I am new to owning a lizard!

Try to leave him/her in warm (but no hot) water for ten minutes. But don´t even try to use some sort of solvent.

Thanks for the help! I did soak her in warm water for a long time and still the tape wouldn't budge. I ran her down to our local pet shop and the lady there helped hold her correctly and gently took it off! Whew! No more tape in the tank. Lesson learned.
