UPS SAVER!!!

KrazyKritters1 Nov 28, 2007 04:40 PM

WTF!!! I have a shipment coming in from Clearwater, FL to Pensacola, FL. That is only a 7 - 8 hour drive.

UPS direct route LMAO, Clearwater to Tampa, Tampa to W. Columbia SC, W. Columbia SC to Albany GA, Albany GA to Mobile AL, Mobile AL to Pensacola. Package has been out for delivery since 6:58 AM and still not here. No worries the weather is perfect for tin cans on wheels to deliver late.

Overnight is more expensive why??? How much fuel was wasted on that trip?

I'm glad I ONLY use Fed Ex

FedEx also sends many pkg to their "hub" I believe. (Tenn.?)
Never expect your pkg to go "directly" or non-stop to your nearest airport.
I always check weather conditions in the whole southeast as well as where my pkg may be going to/coming from.
Call your rep beforehand and they can most times tell you just where your pkg will be routed.

Make sure you KEEP tracking that thing.

Last year, same thing happened with a pair of splendida in the middle of the summer, and when the tracking status said 'Delivered', I was PISSED.

It was like 100 degrees F outside, and they were shipped signature required.

Anyway, the %&#! ended up leaving them on the doorstep of the wrong house, with the sun BLARING on the front door, down the street, and the female of the pair was dead as could be. Did I mentioned I was pissed?!?

Here's the surviving male:

Apparently, he was pissed, too...

I wasn't overly worried. It was chilly out today but not too cold or hot.

I just can't believe all the fuel that was wasted!!!

Could of left Tampa to Jacksonville hub, Jacksonville to Tallahassee and then on to Pensacola.

I read on Fed Ex's home page there rates are going up Jan. 2008. Just imagine what UPS is going up with routes like that.
