Thought I'd share a shot of this girl post shed. She has the brightest yellow I'v seen on a lemon pastel. She makes all her siblings look dull. She does not look even close to any of her clutch mates. she has a really reduced pattern down toward her tail. I tried to capture her color as best as I could....still not quite as good as in person. She started out real slow having to be assist fed about 5 times. Now she eats like a beast and she's growing nicely. Let me know what you think.

Wow! She is bright!!! Do you have pics of her parents?

Thanks for the replies. Here is a shot of the parents. The mother has all the markers of a granite. (unproven)

Nice, maybe there's something special going on with that female. You'll have to keep us posted on the project...I know I would love to have a pasel like that girl! Imagine the bees she'd make.

Ya, I'm hoping there is something genetic with the mother. I am definitly going to make some bees with her.

I agree, they would probably make some nice supers. I only hope that he'll give me some females as nice as yours this year!

maybe there is something special going on with mom? Just a thought...
