O.K., the albino gene in your Newport originated from a striped Cal king. There's been a ton of Newport X Striped breeding's in captivity. That's why you see a lot of Newport looking kings with a striped, banded, or dotted pattern on their tails. They selectively bred those crosses with probably a few other morphs to make the Banana phase. You can see the Newport influence in the Bananas by the brown on top of the tails and the high amount of yellow up high on the sides. I've never bred a Newport to a Banana, but I imagine you'll get some Newport looking kings with an abnormally high amount of yellow up on the sides like Neeka. Because of the striped influence involved in both parents, you might not get a pure looking Newport, but that's just a guess. My guess is that the batch would be extremely variable, with no two looking alike. Sounds like an interesting breeding. The Newport and striped morphs are not the results of a simple recessive gene, so you can expect to get them in first generation breeding's every time. The black belly is a trait found more often in Newports than Stripers. There's also a lot of "in betweens" which is basically an aberrant belly pattern. Good luck with your animals and nice looking kings.
