I've had a kingsnake before, but mine never went into brumation, even though I live in NJ. Now I've got a hatchling durango mt. kingsnake and I'm unsure about brumation. I've been told by many that the snake will go into brumation automatically (despite the fact that it's only a hatchling and will not need to for breeding). Is this true? Also, is there anything I should know about this if it does happen?
