Is 61 days too long for alterna eggs? Should i pip? n/p

If they still look good I wouldn't mess with them. What temperature have you been incubating them at? That, the type media you incubate in and it's water content all effect incubation duration. 60 days is a good average at about 84 degrees. It could go a week or so in either direction with variances from that.

I incubate between 78 and 83, 83 being daytime, and 78-79 at night. I read in the tfh book once that it was between 50 and 70 days, but couldn't remember if that was refering to alterna specifically, because that book covers greers and thayeris as well. I'll wait it out, but that egg is getting huge, while the others (infertile, turned yellow after 2 weeks) are continuing to shrivel up. I made the mistake of not separating the eggs when laid, so they are all clumped together, one huge white egg, and four nasty eggs that are shriveled up.
