V.Jobiensis nesting!

MikesMonitors Nov 29, 2007 05:11 PM

My female has been test digging for a couple of days now.
She seems to have narrowed it down to only a few inches from her last nesting site.
Her new nest site is much deeper, perhaps because I have added a space heater to my Monitor room.
The heater has jacked my room temps from 80 to 90 degrees.
I believe this has caused her to go a bit deeper.
I'll be up all night filming and taking photos of the event!

Dobry
Thanks Brother!
I am 3 for 3 with Jobiensis!
I hatched out a 3 egg clutch in the 90's, and I have a 3 egg clutch cooking now (2nd clutch for me).
This new clutch has been incubating since September 7th "07".

Hopefully I'll be blessed with more tonight!

Thanks guys!
Nothing exciting last night, I'll keep my eye on her today and see what happens.
I have never had a Monitor lay in the day time, it has always been overnight.
Anybody have a female lay in the day time?

Jobi's are my favorite monitors, is there any way to get on some kind of list to be notified when you have the eggs hatch?
