Less than 10 days ago someone brought me a baby gator. About 18" from snout to tail. He arrived ICE cold. They sorta dumped and run, so I have no idea what his previous care was. I warmed him up gradually, put him in a water set up with heated water, uvb light and heated basking site. He ate a few goldfish, finally ate a small mouse. Three days later he ate another small mouse but since then he seems very lethargic, almost limp. I've moved him out and into a dry hospital tank with heat. No signs of upper respiratory, no outward clinical signs except being less active. I can give baytril if that would help but I'm reluctant to treat him with antibiodics if it's not needed. My experience with reptiles is with snakes and lizards so your input is appreciated.
