Treating nose rub???

jwmckee Nov 29, 2007 06:41 PM

Hello everyone, I am picking up a new retic tomorrow that has a pretty nasty nose rub. I already have a few retics but have never had this problem. I was wondering if anyone out there has any ideas on what I can do to treat this. Any idea is welcome and appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

if it is not infected....... bigger cage than minimal requirements and feed it smaller meals more frequently. This should cut down on it's roaming and trying to get out. Also make sure there is nothing wrong with your set-up that would make it want to get out.

if it is infected do all the same and get it to a vet so it can get started on some antibiotics.

also if it is an adult male it could be trying to get out and breed. if this is the case breed it or seperate it from all other snakes so it won't be picking up any pheremones (sp).
