blowing her nose?

Z_G_Reptiles Dec 01, 2007 02:03 PM

Hi, i have a 4 1/2ft retic and out of no where today she started getting a big breath of air and then blowing it out as hard as she could, and then would start rubbing her nose, i check her nostrals and all and they're all visually clear, no liquid discharge or dried up liquids. She's never had any health issues since i've had her. She stopped doing it and if she does it again im going to take her to the vet but does anyone have any idea why she would be doing this?

I keep various pythons and boas and never experienced one doing this

any info would be apreciated

Thanks
Zack

Don't worry it is perfectly fine for them to do so.. some do it al the time.. you'l get use to it, but never get fully use to it.. always pay attention to the sounds and if you see any mucus... you'll know when somethings wrong and when they are just sneezing or coughing... offer more spray time... a little mist everyday helps them breath easier... not to much though.. only mist when it's dry, don't want them to be soggy..
