Whats the best snake to get?

for soemone who is going to be getting into venomous snakes in a few years.y first venomous sanke is probly goign to be a copperhead since there are my fav one. but i want to know is there a good non venomous snake to get to help me lik pratice getting use to the quick strikes of a venomous snake. i dont mind getting bit by the snake long as it will help me get use to being able to understand what i have to work on before i get m first venomous snake.

you dont mind getting bit by the snake ? if you are trying to gain experience to keep venomous then getting bit should be something you dont want to happen. i dont really think there is a snake to get you ready for a venomous one.

get alot of experience keeping all kinds of snakes.

I couldn't agree more. If you are taking this seriously, getting bit by a non venomous snake is inexcusable if you are training for hots. Using non venomous herps to lean the proper techniques will NOT prepare you for keeping venomous; time, experience, mastery of hooks/tongs/shields/ etc and finding a good mentor with an impeccable record will serve you much better. Yes, keeping non venomous in terms of husbandry and such will be beneficial. You didn't mention your age but if you are a minor then I would not even recommend you getting a venomous snake until you are a little older.
