Just curious.. What do you all start your ball hatchlings on?

Unless I have a really small baby or reluctant feeder then I'll go with a mouse.

I start on mouse hoppers also. The movement seems to triggers strikes. I haven't had much luck starting rat pups. I think because they just sit there.

..whichever is easier to obtain live whtn the times comes

mice until they can eat a large adult mouse easily. At that time we transfer them over to small rats. We start out with live fuzzy mice.

live fuzz to live hop to live small to mice .........some to rats if I happen to have alot or really like that baby ......

ALWAYS live large fuzzy mice until they are feeding strongly each and every time offered. Then I introduce them to rat pups that get bigger as the hatchlings get bigger.

hey thanks everyone.. i guess i will try rat crawlers.

but um.. rat crawlers.. thats right b4 they get their eyes open? or? anyone have pics of them so i can see the size?
