question about venomous in CA

sandman221 Dec 01, 2007 07:12 PM

k in CA we are allowed to keep native species of rattlesnakes. but can we purchase a rattlesnake from someone (breeder or private party) outside of CA aslong as its a native species? i have contacted the DFG but i have not heard anything back from them yet.

thanks in advance

Nope that would be in violation of the import laws. Keep looking around as those with pairs that do produce. They must then give away the offspring and there is your source

I have spoken to Cal officials and was told it was ok. I have sold several albino atrox to Cal residents. This was within the last couple of years.

There is no regulations for albinos. You do not need a license either.
