Well I'd recommend going with anywhere from a 36 inch long to 48inch long cage.

Now the fact that you have two males means lot's of hiding spots, anywhere from the prefabbed ones you can buy from 'Zilla and ZooMed. What I have done though is build a platform made from two bricks with a paverstone over the top of the bricks.

Remember to always make sure that any rocks you place on the floor of the terrarium or even on other rocks can't slip or slide or fall accidentally.

A bowl for food and a bowl for water are also recommended.

hey boost......jim (fish) kendrick here......
sup? just to throw in a little extra info, i have had several collareds, mostly males and a few females over a year now. i have 4 55 gallon tanks and have all my collareds separated in an order i like. in one tank i have 4 males and 2 females until next spring. they have been together for about 6 to 7 months now and no matter how many hiding places i give them, they all sleep and bask on the same rocks. i moved my largest yellowhead over to the opposite end with a heat light and he sat there for about 10 minutes before 2 of the other 3 males joined him. when i came back a few hours later they were all on that new location. these guys are both captive bred and wild caught.
the only incident i have had in a year were 2 females getting upset when nudged her way into a bedding area. other than that, all my collareds have been compatible.
come breeding time i will sort out my collareds and thin the males down in each tank. if there will be trouble around breeding time, i have a good idea who will be the trouble maker and i'll take of him when the time comes. i have a few 40 gallon breeders i will have setup.
enjoyed the info and take care
