First check any warm spots around. Check places they might be hiding near the rack. Check around appliances such as computer, tv, etc. Usually these seem to be a hot spot given the heat they put off. Just think hiding spots. By the way, do you know how they are escaping?

I know two different people who found thier loose snakes in the furnace near the filter. If you have heat registers in the floor that might be where it went.

I also agree at night is a great time to look. I had a milksnake get out I had been looking for days. I even put some flower on the flour to see where she was headed. I woke up one night cause I had a feeling. Walked out to the kitchen. She was sitting on top of the garbage can looking at me.

check all over your basement (if you have one)! i've only had a few escapes but, they were all found in my basement except 1. that was my corn, and it was tangled up under the fridge near the compressor, i looked there on a hunch.

thanks for all the great suggestions and sorry it took so long to get back to you all. but so far no luck but i will keep looking and keep you all updated. someone asked how they were getting out and the reason is its a new plastic rack system and the bins slide to easily on the smooth plastic shelves. i already solved the problem by putting rubber feet on the bins that are 10 mil thick.
